    Moderation concerns

Whilst I like the integration of Forum Server into WP (It makes things an awful lot easier) I’m a little concerned with the lack of moderation tools in particular relation to combating spam bots.

Unless I’m missing them, there appears to be no way of banning Users, email addresses, IP’s. (Other than deleting them which isn’t ideal)

    No word filters.

No post approval for first x posts.

Those few additions would IMO reduce spam bot interference to almost zero.

Are any of these on the development list?

I don’t need the power of phpBB, a simple forum that integrates so well is perfect, but I feel a little vulnerable to spam in it’s current form.

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

unfortunately, forumpress currently don’t have any of these features.

From the other side, you can ban users, emails and ips using wordpress features and plugins – forumpress is integrating with wordpress and they have identical users, you can just use all wordpress power to achieve this.

    Thanks.

Good point, I’m impressed enough to run with it for now.

Hopefully the spam issue will not rear it’s head anyway.

    Thanks.
